Cate Harris - novelist-in-training

Hello, I'm Cate Harris, 'apprentice author' of romantic suspense novels set in my homeland, New Zealand.

Through my website, the idea is to share links and information that other writers-in-training may find useful. It's about giving something back to others in recognition of the many, many people who have helped me along this rock-strewn road to "writing the darn book".

I'm still working on goal #1 of finishing a whole fiction-length novel -- it's taking a while and I've got several part books in progress... but I will do it! Then will come the challenges of editing and polishing, researching agents and editors, writing query emails and synopses, submitting, and eventually publication. It's a long road, I know, but it's one I feel confident I can traverse safely with the help of my many writing friends from Romance Writers of New Zealand. Along the way, I'll keep learning and cheering on the successes of my colleagues and boosting their confidence when things are tough. I know they'll do the same for me - and that's simply awesome.
